Department of Biochemistry
and Microbiology
The Department of Biochemistr y and
Microbiology is actively engaged in education and
research in the biochemistry, general microbiology and
molecular biology. Our undergraduate courses teach
basic knowledge in biochemistry, clinical biochemistry,
general microbiology, medical microbiology and
immunology for pharmacy students. In addition, we
oer courses related to molecular biology and
biotechnology for senior undergraduate students.
Our graduate programs in biomedicinal
chemistry is to prepare the M.Sc. and Ph.D. graduates
for diverse careers in extending their biomedicinal
research to academic, government, and private sectors.
We accomplish this by expanding our students
knowledge in biochemistr y, molecular biology,
biotechnology, and bioinformatics while cultivating
their ability for critical analysis, creativity and
independent study.

Our M.Sc. program in pharmaceutical
microbiology program provides advanced knowledge
and research in pharmaceutical R&D by applying
microbiology, immunology and biotechnology. Our
graduate students will be knowledgeable and
