REACTION
Mastectomy is a surgery to remove all breast tissues from a breast as a way to
treat or prevent breast cancer. A breast cancer diagnosis changes a womans life and
represents an emotional load that could trigger emotional imbalances such as
depression, and anxiety, and stress to some patients. To prevent this from happening,
women should pious in performing preventive measures such as breast selfexamination, therefore, women should be knowledgeable regarding this. There are
different diagnostic procedures to know if a woman is at risk of having breast cancer,
thus, this study will help women to increase awareness regarding their health status.
RECOMMENDATION
I recommend this journal article to all the women, student nurses, medical
professionals, and public health workers specifically barangay health workers, who have
easier access with less privilege people for an upsurge with their knowledge regarding
breast cancer awareness.
