Humphrey Percival task sheet from 27/11/15 and due Thursday 3/12/15
BEFORE your lesson by 9am.
Failure to complete ALL of the listed tasks, which are also included in your weebly Unit 1 page, will result in a stage 5. 1. Use the website goggle to create a digital mind-map of your ideas around the word stereotypes 2. Upload a paragraph introducing your initial contact sheets from your 3 artists. This must say . What you intend to show in your pictures, how this links to your artists and your ideas about stereotypes, and what practical skills you want to demonstrate (i.e. use of narrow aperture, fast shutter speed, framing, lighting, location). Use the examples provided to help you. 3. Upload your initial black and white Gillian Wearing edits that you had before as these show progress on to your next images dont delete work as this limits your marks! 4. Edit your Wearing post-it note images to match the contrast to Wearings, using the levels, curves and contrast adjustment mask layers. Use the selective colour tool to increase the yellow post-it and make the writing stand out. Evaluate the strongest one using the green writing section of the attached Weebly artist upload framework sheet. 5. Evaluate this last GIF using the same green section as before. 6. Upload a minimum of 4 EDITED enlargements of your Todd Deutsch images. These should demonstrate your most successful understanding of composition and lighting. Use the "gradient tool" to create spotlights of light onto the area which is being illuminated and darken the rest. Make sure your enlargements or of photos in focus to show off your skill! Again, evaluate your most successful one using the green writing section. 7. Upload at least 4 edits of your Krieg images to transform them into the style of Carolyn Krieg - use the invert adjustment layer, the photo filter adjustment, the solid colour adjustment layer and change the opacity and blending mode. Again, evaluate the most successful using the green text of the attached document. 8. Finally, to catch up from the missed lesson, use the art2day website to find 3 more artist examples that you feel are linked to your investigation of the stereotypical way youth culture is and how this is demonstrated through photography and it's style. Upload these examples, labelled clearly, and write down a minimum of 10 bullet points of any idea you have and how you could move your investigation further. Choose 2 of ANY
of your artists found so far that you would like to merge together to create a combined outcome, i.e. Krieg and Cisey and Soulz GIFs, or a new artist and GIFs.
