Therefore, when I am grading these students test I will automatically give them a score of 3 on the item number that corresponds with this objective.

After re-teaching I will also encourage students to practice this skill at home or when time permits throughout the rest of the unit. In the future, if students show mastery on the formative assessment, I will not make them sit through the lesson about the content they already know. Thus, if they have already showed mastery, I will allow them the opportunity to explore other features of Google Earth, and present that feature to the class at the end of the lesson. I will note to the whole class that displaying this feature on the interim assessment or summative assessment qualifies for a 4, going above and beyond.
