1. I will give my students a daily bell ringer. The students will be given the first ten minutes of
class to complete the bell ringer. This will help the students adjust to the learning environment.
2. Students will be given a bathroom passes for each nine weeks with the name of the student
and teacher on the pass.
3. The students will leave in an orderly manner. I will personally dismiss each student at the
door to collect exit slips or answer any questions.
4. I will call out each student's name in alphabetical order to take attendance.
5. First I will provide a walk through so that every student will know the drill and how we are to
act. I will have an assigned person to lead my students out to the designated place and be the last
to leave the classroom to ensure all students are out. When reaching designated area I will call
roll to check to see if all students are accounted for.
6. My rule will be no pushing or running through the halls. The class will be allowed to whisper,
but not speak loudly.
7. Students will spend the final two minutes of class preparing to leave. I will vocally dismiss my
class after the bell rings.
8. Materials will be given to the group leader or student in the front of the class to hand to his or
her classmates.
9. I would like the student to have their name, the date, and the period or class meeting time
written in the top left hand corner of their work.
10. I will write the homework assignment on the board. Students will be informed about the
assignment at the beginning and ending of class.
11. I will read over the homework assignment in class and make sure that the class has a good
understanding of the material given to them.
12. Students will be told to review their seatwork until time for whole group discussion of the
subject.
13. Talking during seatwork is permitted only if they are exchanging ideas about the subject
matter.
14. Students will raise their hand when they wish to add to the discussion. There will be no
interruptions when another student is speaking.
15. I will tell my students to keep talking to a minimum. I will also tell them to not disturb
anyone unless it is about the seatwork. If I need to divert my attention the students will be
expected to stay quiet, and do their work.

16. Students will spend their free time being productive. They will be productive in reviewing
their seatwork, or assisting other group members with the work.
17. They will be given a green and a red card to place on their desk. The green card signifies the
student is ready to move on. The red card signifies the student is not ready to move on and needs
assistance.
18. I will write the word QUIET on the board to let the students know when they are being too
loud . I will write one letter at a time to give the students a chance to quiet down. If students do
not quiet down they will be given an extra assignment or there will be 5 minutes of no talking.
B. I will arrive at my rules by deciding which rules are necessary to promote learning for all
students with the class. This will help my relationship with the students. My basic rules will
consist of being respectful towards other students, classroom volume, and misbehavior.
