Math 20-1 Course Outline

Math 20-1 is designed for students who are planning to study mathematics or
science at a university, college, or technical institute. This includes post-secondary
programs such as engineering, mathematics, science, some business courses, or
any program that requires advanced math skills such as calculus. Math 20-2 is
designed for students who are planning to attend post-secondary school for other
programs or for some apprenticeship programs.

Textbook:
You will be issued a copy of the Pre-Calculus 11 textbook at the beginning of the
school year. You must return the same book to the library as you were issued or you
will be charged for a new textbook.
Supplies:
You will need the following supplies for the Grade 11 math course.
300 Sheets of loose-leaf and a binder
Pencils and a metric ruler
Graphing calculator (preferably TI-83, TI-83Plus, TI 84Plus)
100 sheets of graph paper
Classroom Success:
Your success depends on the following:
Coming to class on time with all necessary materials.
Willingness to work hard and try your best at all times.
Setting realistic goals and motivating yourself to achieve these goals.
Good listening skills.
Good study skills.

Failure to follow the guidelines may result in the following:
