Description:
Take six different colors of playdough and roll them into small balls. Pinch off small pieces of
playdough from the balls and place different colors in egg carton. Ask the children to use the
tongs to pick up the playdough balls and place them in the matching colored crates.
Connection:
This activity promotes physical development by teaching children to use their fine motor skills
by asking them to pick up the playdough balls with the tongs and place them in the correct
colored egg carton.
What I learned:
I realized that fine motor development is an important skill that needs to be taught in early
childhood.
