Improving Writing skills

In this report I will talk about the strategies that I used to achieve my PDP goal which is
improving students writing skills.
The focus of this report is the effect of using brainstorming and mind mapping on
improving writing skills. how can using brainstorming and mind mapping strategys
effect on students writing skills?
Finding 1
It seems that using mind mapping strategy appear the improve of students in their
writing skills. My finding achieved what researchers say about using mind mapping and
how can this strategy effect on students writing skills and improve it.
The figures below show the tools that I used to collect data about applying the mind
maps strategy in the classroom.

This figure shows the observation checklist that I used for the students A,B and C during
my teaching practice to observe them while they answering their task in the classroom.
And it shows that students A and B are benefiting from using the mind mapping method
to write more ideas, but students C try to write some information about the topic. My
finding achieved what Buzan says.

This figure shows mind maps drawing by student A, B and C during the class time, it
displays that students are written different ideas that relate to the topic that they have to
write about.

This figure presents the journal that I wrote in week 4 during my teaching practice about
what I noticed from the students used for mind maps strategy in the classroom. And it
shows that students A are applying the method and wrote ideas, student B are trying to
write some ideas on his map. Student C also tried to think about some ideas that can he
wrote.
Finding 2
It appeared that using brainstorming strategy appear the improve of the students in their
writing skills. My finding achieved what Harmer says about using brainstorming and
how can this strategy effect on students level in writing skills.
The figures below show the tools that I used to collect data about applying the
brainstorming strategy in the classroom.

This observation checklist display information about Students A,B and C while Teacher
asked them questions about the writings topic. The figure shows that Student A and B
are able to answer the most of the questions. While student C tries to answer few
questions .

This figure displays the journal that I wrote in week 5 about what I noticed in the
classroom through applying brainstorming strategy and it show that student A are
participating with my questions that I asked, student B are answering some of my
questions and student C also tried to participate and answer few questions.

This figure show the interview question that I asked student about the effect of using
brainstorming in the class with their writing skills and I wrote their answer. Student A
and B are using brainstorming strategy and it helps them to organize the idea and write
more information, on other hand student C tried to think about information to write it.
