COMPANY operates two refineries; the Abu Dhabi Refinery with a processing
capacity of 88,000 BPSD of Crude Oil and Ruwais with processing capacity
of 420,000 BPSD of Crude Oil and Condensate.
COMPANY is currently implementing the Ruwais Refinery Expansion Project
(RRE) and Carbon Black Delayed Coker Project (CBDC). The RRE project is
currently in commissioning phase with crude processing capacity of
417,100 BPSD Murban crude. RRE is an RFCC based configuration with the
intent to maximize Propylene production.
The CBDC Project is currently in engineering, procurement and construction
phase to build a facility at Ruwais to manufacture UV Carbon Black, Semiconductive black and Anode Grade Green Coke utilizing the Slurry Oil from
the Residue Fluidized Catalytic Cracker (RFCC) to be installed as part of RRE
and the residue from the vacuum distillation unit in the existing Ruwais
Refinery.

COMPANY intends to process the following offshore crudes at RRE, which is
currently designed for Murban Crude, which will be transferred by subsea
pipeline to onshore and will be further transferred by onshore lines to the
refinery.
Upper Zakum from Zirku Island
Das Blend from Das Island
RRE and CBDC units will be suitably modified to process 420,000 BPSD of
Upper Zakum crude, as part of the Processing Offshore Crude (POC) project,
and retain the ability to process 417,100 BPSD Murban crude. COMPANY
intends to process Das Blend crude at a capacity where major additional
physical change is not required over and above those changes required for
Upper Zakum crude processing. This capacity has been determined at
340,000 BPSD of Das Blend crude.
The scope of the project is to build new facilities and modify existing
facilities at Ruwais to process offshore crude.
