Observations So Far

Enrollment was increased in 2011-12 with a slight


decrease in 2012-13 and 2013-14
African-American and White students make up the
majority of enrollment
Students with Disabilities had an increase in 201213 then slight decrease in 2013-14
Increase in Economically Disadvantaged Students
Faculty had an increase in the last year.
There has been a slight increase in males, but the
majority is still white females.

with no steady increase or decrease.
The 5th grade male population is slightly
higher than females each year.

Observations So Far

Females showed a constant increase in ELA and Math CRCT


while males fluctuated in both areas.
Females continued to score higher than males in ELA and Math,
showing a trend.
WCES steadily increased above GA average for Meets students.
African-American students showed significantly higher scores in
Meets than white students on both the ELA and Math CRCT
assessments.
White students showed significantly higher scores in Exceeds
than African American students on both the ELA and Math CRCT
assessments.
Economically Disadvantaged students scored much higher than
Students with Disabilities on the ELA CRCT while scoring lower
than SWD on the Math CRCT.

How can we increase skills in ELA and


Math before students enter 5th grade?
How can we increase scores in ELA and
Math for male students?
Why are White students more effective
than African-American students?
Why are female students more effective
than males?
