KELLYVILLE OVER 35/1S!

FEWELLED UP!
Goal Scorers

Man of the Match

Doz 2, Vic, Jaime, Harry, Damian,

NOLAN!

Kellyville disposed of Castle Hill White today

with a commanding 7-0 victory. The team was firing
on all cylinders and definitely operating with a full
Fewell tank???!!!!
After Vlad (the stand in ref for the game) gave his pregame speech to both teams we were set to go. The
opposition didnt seem to mind that Vlad did say he played
for us so would probably give us most of the calls!
Kellyville are playing more patiently each week. The
dominance with the ball and continual running will
eventually wear down any team. Rich kept popping up on
the right after long runs, tight play in and around the box
from our forwards and midfielders was causing trouble and
Vic kept rolling players, but Castle Hill held their own for
the opening 25 minutes. Eventually they cracked - Doriano
finishing calmly.
The second came 5 minutes before the break, Harry
latching onto a bouncing ball to volley over the keeper from
25 yards - quality!
This was matched 2 minutes later as a loose ball
following another slicing run from Alex, fell into Dorianos
path. Another shot from distance resulting in a goal - this
one curled expertly with his left into the top left corner.
This rapid fire end to the half had Castle Hill looking
for the end rather than the break.
The second half saw Kellyville dominate, with chance
after chance. The Kellyville backline continue to impose
themselves on opposition teams. Dame, Fewelly and Noons
are dominant in the air when defending. The dominance in
possession and play out through feet is confidence building
for the team as plays are set by smart passing started at the
back.
Vic kickstarted the second half scoring as he finished
one o after a long run, but nobody could really believe he
could have started from an onside position so agreed to play
an oside instead of the goal.

Fewelly

NEXT MATCH
v Toongabbie

He then popped up a few minutes later to add to his

impressive tally for the season.
Jaime and Alex were dominating the game ..... until the
call went out for Naya to go into goals. Suddenly everything
changed!
Castle Hill started shooting (from anywhere) to really
see if Naya was up to the gig. His first save, was a standout
with his glove still not on, was knocked over the bar from
40 yards.
Faced with this barrier, Castle Hill fell back in and tried
to hold. They didnt account for the other side of the
goalkeeper change however....NOLAN was on the field!!!!
His runs were bamboozling as he ran from side to side
up front, then dropped into midfield to cover Jamie and
Alex (they didnt ask for it but he did it anyway) - he just
seemed to dominate the game!
He scored one cracking goal as he went on another
pressure run, that saw the keeper pullout as saw the brute
bearing down on him. Nolan ran around picked up the loose
ball and toyed with the chasing fullbacks as he slammed it
home from a yard out!
He deserved more but the others wanted to play too! Jez
was looking sharp with plenty of touches, unfortunately a
tough tackle brought him undone - well wait and see the
result.
Jaime chimed in with a shot that stung the keepers
hands and dropped in. Admittedly cold water would
probably sting this keepers hands so probably not one
James will write home about.
The final goal was quality as Trev and Jaime combined to
set up a rampaging Dame who slammed home from a tight
angle into the roof of the net(very surprised he didnt run
straight over to the bench?).
Thanks to Vlad for reng and Naya for stepping into
goals when Haz had to go.

Player Profile
Anthony Thompson
(Thommo)
Fantastic team player who is as
tough as nails. Has proven time
and again he will run through a
brick wall for his team mates.
(Probably prefer he played
soccer though)
