respondents 21 through 25 agreed that it is okay to spank
their children. 9 percent of respondents 26 through 30 agreed
that it is okay to spank their children as a means of
discipline. 17 percent of respondents 31 and over believe it is
okay to spank your children as a means of discipline. A larger
percentage of respondents between the ages 21 and 25

Respondents Gender
Refer to figure 1. In the second set of crosstabs involving
the variables PORNLAW and SEX, respondents were asked
their opinion if pornography should be legal or illegal. 13.5
percent of respondents who think porn should be illegal to all
ages are male. 25.9 percent of respondents were female. 29.1
percent of respondents who think porn should be illegal; only
to those under 18 years of age were male and 26.5 were
female respondents. 2.8 percent of respondents who think
porn should be legal are male and 2.2 percent were female
respondents.

Refer to figure 3. According to crosstabs, 58.3 percent of respondents
who believe pornography should be illegal to all ages attend church often.
34.1 percent of those respondents attend church sometimes. Also 26.3
percent of those respondents attend church infrequently. The respondents
who believe pornography should be illegal to just those under 18 years of
age, 37.9 percent of those respondents attend church often. 61.6 percent
of those respondents attend church sometimes. 59 percent of those
respondents attend church infrequently. Out of the respondents who
believe pornography should be legal, 3.8 percent attend church often.

Refer to the graph on the right. 63.1 percent of
female respondents who attend church often feel porn
should be illegal to all. 33.7 percent of female
respondents who attend church often feel porn should
be illegal to those under 18. 3.2 percent of female
respondents who attend church often feel porn should
be legal. 41.6 percent of female respondents who
attend church sometimes feel porn should be illegal
to all, 54.6 feel porn should be illegal to those under
18, and 3.8 percent feel it should legal. Out of all the
female respondents who attend church infrequently,
33.7 percent feel porn should be illegal to all, 61.1
percent feel it should be illegal to those under 18, and
5.2 percent feel porn should be legal.

ATTEND and SEX. Respondents were asked how
often they attend church. The data is separated by the
gender of the respondents. 28.5 percent of
respondents who went to church often are male. 38.7
percent of respondents who go to church often were
female. 28.7 percent of respondents who attend
church sometimes are male. 29.3 percent of those
respondents were female. Respondents who
infrequently attended church, 42.7 percent were male
and 32.0 percent female.

about porn laws controlling for sex (males). 50.3 percent of male respondents
who attend religious services often feel porn should be illegal to all. 44.7
percent of male respondents felt like porn should be illegal to those under 18.
4.9 percent of male respondents feel it should be legal. 24.9 percent of male
respondents who attend religious services sometimes feel porn should be
illegal to all. 70.1 percent of male respondents who attend church sometimes
feel porn should be illegal to those under 18. 4.9 male respondents who attend
