1. Why is curriculum important?

Curriculum is important because it is the main foundation and structure of the
lessons and academic content taught in school. It is the benchmark of where to begin
the process of planning the lessons and skills enriched in the school. It is indicating the
frameworks in learning new ideas.

2. How can one enrich the curriculum in every school?

Curriculum is the most basic in the school structure. It is created to bring
oneness among the community. School should be small enough to assure that every
student will be known by name. The school must be a purposeful place with a clear
and vital mission. A school must be an institution where everyone is treated fairly. A
caring place, where everyone feels secure with clearly defined rules and conduct.

guidelines that came from government

recommended curriculum. They come in
the form of course of study, syllabi,
modules, books, instructional guides
among
others.
Example
of
written
curriculum is the teachers lesson plan.
The teacher and the learners will put life to
the written curriculum. The skill of the
teacher to facilitate learning based on the
written curriculum with the aid of
instructional materials and facilities is
necessary.

These are support materials that the teacher

needs. This includes print materials like
books, charts, worksheets, and non-print
materials like PowerPoint presentations
and other electronic illustrations. It also
includes facilities like science laboratory
and playground.

This is the curriculum that is evaluated after

it has been taught. It can either be
assessment for learning, assessment as
