Forcier Consulting is a dynamic, research consultancy firm operating across Africa since 2011. Our core
services include research, capacity building training and strategic planning for UN Agencies, NGOs,
governments and private sector clients operating in post-conflict contexts and challenging environments.
Forcier currently has offices in South Sudan, Somalia, Sudan, and Egypt.
Job Description: The Analyst, will organize, code, clean, and report on quantitative and qualitative
survey data collected in the field. Analysts receive data from surveys and qualitative interviews conducted in
South Sudan, Sudan, Somalia, The Democratic Republic of Congo, and Egypt. Analysts provide actionable
insights, based on their evaluation of qualitative and quantitative data, to Forcier clients on recently
concluded development projects.
Compensation: Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Reports to: Lead Analyst
Daily tasks:

Assist in the development of proposals for new business with regards to analytical design and
presentation of findings.
Assist in the development and validation of methodologically sound analysis plans for quantitative
and qualitative data.
Communicate ideas for analysis as well as findings and recommendations to internal team members
and clients
Interface with analytics team members and other departments in quantitative and qualitative data
analysis.
Draft high quality reports with analytics department members in a timely manner.
Assist with editing of relevant reports.
Assist in the analysis and storage of statistical data.
Participate in periodic staff training on data analysis and research methodology.

Education requirements:
Masters Degree in Political Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Quantitative Social Science or
other related degree.
Required skills:
Proficiency with statistical software including STATA, R and SPSS.
Professional fluency in English (Arabic, French and Spanish are a plus).
2 year work experience.
Experience working in a cross-cultural office setting
Experience living or working in a developing country

Immediate availability to live and work in Cairo, Egypt.

Preferred (but not required) skills:


Expert knowledge of statistical methods, packages, programs and methodologies.
Experience using statistics to analyze survey data.
Knowledge of mathematical tools and methods.
Interest in development, project management and evaluation.
