Mongolian Films day
to be held in Denmark

On February 9-16, the Arts


Council of Mongolia (ACM)
will co-organize a Mongolian
film focus day in Denmark in
cooperation with the Danish
Film Institute in Copenhagen
to
increase
international
cooperation in the film industry
as part of its mission to promote
and enhance the development
of Mongolian cinema.
Mongolian Film Days
selected the following six films
to screen: Remote Control,
a movie by S.Byamba which
was awarded New Current at
the Pusan International Film
Festival in 2013, Passion,

a documentary film, and


Yellow colt, a movie by
Ch.Khoroldorj which was
selected to be screened as part
of the Asian film window of
the Pusan International Film
Festival. Also, Amazing flight
by L.Bat-Amgalan, which was
involved in the London Short
Film Festival and Cranes, a
movie by young film director
M.Iveel.
Organizers are giving
the opportunity for viewers
to showcase old Mongolian
movies of the 1960s such as
Before the raising rank by
honored director D.Chimed-

Osor. It helps to show and


understand Mongolian film
development.
For this focus day and
Mongolian
cultural
day,
Ts.Ariunaa, film producer and
Ch.Khoroldorj, film director
are invited to participate
and introduce and promote
the Mongolian arts and film
industry. They will present
movies and communicate with
world-famous film directors,
producers and artists. The
organizers hope that it will
be a big opportunity for
international cooperation in the
film industry.

Playing love-IV concert by


Morin Khuur Ensemble
On March 4-5, the Arts Council of Mongolia and Morin Khuur
Ensemble of State Philharmonic will present a Playing Love
movie soundtrack concert at the Corporate Hotel & Convention
Center to promote Mongolian traditional music to the world.
The State Morin khuur Ensemble played on the occasion of
International Womens Rights Day. This time is the fourth time
to revise the new content of Mongolian elite and world premiere
movies soundtracks Playing Love. The Playing Love- IV
concert will feature Mongolias human history, lifestyle and culture
by focusing on Mongolian films selective expression in this
repertoire.
For hundreds of years, Mongolian people have used the
traditional Morin khuur musical instrument. It is the unique cultural
heritage of Mongolian people. This concert will be performed
adding harmonic tunes to your heart.
Tickets are available at Tgs 20,000-30,000 and sold at the State
Philharmonic, the Mongolian Arts Council of Mongolia, and at the

Balance exhibition supports deaf artists

A joint exhibition will be organized to display selected works of the artists

The Mongolian Arts Council (ACM)


is a non-governmental organization whose
mission is to support the sustainable
development of Mongolian culture and the
preservation of cultural heritage. ACM aims
to promote the process of the production
of artists and contribution to personal and
social development of art through the public
presentation of their work.
ACM announced a balance artistic

competition to support talented deaf artists


in partnership with the Canadian Embassy
and receive their artworks until February 5,
2016. ACM will organize a joint exhibition
with the selected artworks of those artists
and exhibit them from February 25 to
March 3 at the Q Art gallery.
The exhibition will consist of sculpture,
installation, photos, media and graphics
created by deaf artists.

The Mongolian Arts Council and Dashima open arts studio


program announced a Caravan UB residency program for
talented young artists to enable facilitation of activities, promote
developmental creation, and host a solo exhibition. The aim of
the residency is to support young talents by providing them with
work space and give them a chance to have a solo exhibition after
the residency program.
This residency program will enable artists to stay three
months at the Caravan art studio, create artwork, and present a
solo exhibition in May. The ACM and Dashima open arts studio
are pleased to announce the participant selected for the residency
program. Out of 27 artists who applied for the program, young
artist B.Bayartsengel was selected. She is creative and talented,
making new artistic content and has a sincere desire to achieve

her goal and match the goal of


Caravan UB.
B.Bayartsengel graduated
from the Fine art institute in
2011. She studied art and held a
joint exhibition called Mongolia
color at the le-Art Gallery in
Irkutsk in Russia in 2014.
Artist B.Bayartsengels
creation field is simple and
defined as a critical realist. She is
going to exhibit 10-12 paintings
called Siege in exclusive critical
realism style. The main character
of her artworks stands as historic
monuments of all who know
and support the role of specific
social environments, and through
a scenario, expresses to resolve
the differences and relationships
between them. Her creative
artworks are on display for your
consideration!
