Abstract

Empirically was developed the synthesis of isomers of bond [Co (NH3) 5NO2] Cl2
and [Co (NH3) 5ONO] Cl2 as from the complex [Co (NH3) 5 Cl] Cl2 . For the
synthesis of nitro compound, it was weighed 0.1510 g of [Co (NH 3) 5 Cl] Cl2,
which was treated with 3 mL of water and 1.2 mL of NH 4OH concentrated. The
filtrate obtained was evaporated until one third part, it was cooled and acidified
with 10% HCl; subsequently It was added 0.2010 g of NaNO 2, this solution was
gently heated and then it was carried to crystallize; the crystals obtained were
weighed and was calculated the yield to reaction (tanto). On the other hand,
the nitrite compound was prepared from 0.1545 g of [Co (NH 3) 5 Cl] Cl2,
following the same procedure for the nitro compound, with the difference that
was allowed to crystallize for 1-2 hours, the obtained precipitate washed with
H2O, CH3CH2OH and ether at 0 C, the obtained crystals were weighed and was
reached a performance of (tanto) .
