Indiana,whereIwillbemajoringinpoliticalscience.Ihavealreadygottenaccepted,thoughI
amstillinterestedindifferentcollegesandexcitedtoexploremyoptions.Thehardestpartof
decidingwhatoneisgoingtodoafterhighschooliswhichcollegeisthebest,andwheretogo.
IfIchosenottogototheUniversityofSouthernIndiana,IhavetwootheroptionsthatIam
reallyinterestedin.UniversityofNotreDameandUniversityofEvansville.Bothareexcellent
colleges,thoughtheyarealsobothprivatecollegesandnotstatefundedIwouldhavetotakea
lotofmoneyoutofpocket.
TheUniversityofSouthernIndiana,wasfoundedin1965.USIhasover10,000enrolled
andarangeof80majorstochoosefrom.ItisalsoconvenientlylocatedinEvansville,Indiana
whichisalsowhereIlive.Theyoffersclasseswithfewerthan20studentsaswellasover130
studentorganizations.Thisuniversityisadecentsmallschooltowanttoattend.TheUSIcampus
islocatedon1,400acresinEvansville,Indiana.Theresalsoaverywiderangeofethnicities

nationalstudiesofCatholicelementaryandsecondaryeducationdonehereaswellasextensive
studiesoftheCatholicparishlife.
NotreDameisnotonlyaprivateuniversity,itsalsoaCatholicuniversity.Sucha
universityexplorestheopportunitytoexerciseone'sCatholicreligiousfaith.NotreDamewas
foundedbytheCongregationofHolyCross,thoughhasalwaysbeenintheCatholicfaith.There
consistsofmanydifferentdepartmentsandorganizationsthatareapartofthecollege.Asstated

notbecultivatedattheexpenseoftheheart.Whileweprepareusefulcitizensforsociety,we

AfterextensiveresearchthroughthefollowingcollegesIhavecametoaconclusion.The
UniversityofEvansvilleisexactlywhatIamlookingfor,beingasmallcollegenearhomewitha
friendlycampusandoneononeprofessors.Thoughbeingaprivatecollegethismakesitless
appealing.TheUniversityofNotreDameisasmallprivatecollege,whichiswhatIamlooking
for,thoughbasedonmyresearchofmyinterestedcolleges,IcansafelysaythatIwillmost
likelybeattendingtheUniversityofSouthernIndiana.Nearbyhomeandclasssizesinmyfavor,
alsobeingapublicstatefundedschoolopensopportunitiesforscholarshipsandfinancialaid.
