IN THE MODERN CHURCH

GRACE as rightly understood and used by the Apostles in the Scriptures, is
different from the faulty understanding and usage by the modern Church.
The Saving Grace of the Gospel is not what we want it to be but what
Gods Word says it is. What then is this Gospel Grace that saves?

ERROR: Philosophical GRACE of the modern Church is undeserved permission to do

and get what pleases us.
TRUTH: Gospel GRACE of the Apostles is undeserved purity and power to do and
give what pleases God.
The Christian understanding of Gospel Grace has to derive from plain biblical
exegesis not privately imagined expressions and explanations. Many hijack the word
GRACE from the Bible, only to falsify its meaning through logic, philosophy,
1

rationalization, opinionated expressions, explanations and experiences, which are

all at variance with the Scriptures.

According to the Scriptures, we could find some 12 dimensions of Gospel

Grace:
1. GRACE BRINGS POWER; THEREFORE, GREAT GRACE BRINGS GREAT
POWER.
Acts 4:33
(33) And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus:
and great GRACE was upon them all.
2. GRACE BRINGS PURPOSE OF HEART TO PLEASE GOD.
Acts 11:23
(23) Who, when he came, and had seen the GRACE of God, was glad, and exhorted them all,
that with purpose of heart they would cling unto the Lord.
3. THE GRACE OF GOD HAS POWER TO SAVE BOTH JEWS AND GENTILES
ALIKE.
Acts 15:11
(11) But we believe that through the GRACE of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as
they.
4. GODS GRACE HAS THE POWER TO BRING JUSTIFICATION AND
REDEMPTION.
Romans 3:24
(24) Being justified freely by his GRACE through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
5. ACCESS INTO GRACE IS THROUGH FAITH; FAITH ACCESS INTO GRACE
LEADS TO HOPE UNTO GLORY.
2

Romans 5:2
(2) By whom also we have access by faith into this GRACE in which we stand, and rejoice in
hope of the glory of God.
6. GRACE EMPOWERS US WITH ABILITY AND BOLDNESS FOR MINISTRY.
Romans 15:15-16
(15) Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some way, as
reminding you, because of the GRACE that is given to me of God,
(16) That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God,
that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
7. GRACE ENRICHES US IN UTTERANCE AND KNOWLEDGE AND CONFIRMS
CHRISTS TESTIMONY IN US.
1 Corinthians 1:4-6
(4) I thank my God always on your behalf, for the GRACE of God which is given you by Jesus
Christ;
(5) That in every thing you are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
(6) Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
8. GRACE MUST NOT BE RECEIVED IN VAIN; GRACE SHOULD BE USED TO
LABOUR ABUNDANTLY IN CONSCIENTIOUS CONDUCT AND SINCERE
SIMPLICITY.
2 Corinthians 6:1
(1) We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that you receive not the GRACE of
God in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:10
(10) But by the GRACE of God I am what I am: and his GRACE which was bestowed upon me
was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the GRACE of God
which was with me.
2 Corinthians 1:12
(12) For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly
sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the GRACE of God, we have conducted ourselves in
the world, and more abundantly toward you.
Ephesians 3:7-8
(7) Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the GRACE of God given unto me
by the effectual working of his power.
(8) Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this GRACE given, that I should preach
among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9. GRACE ABOUNDS TOWARDS US TO ENABLE US ABOUND IN EVERY GOOD
WORK.
2 Corinthians 9:8
(8) And God is able to make all GRACE abound toward you; that you, always having all
sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
Ephesians 2:8-10
(8) For by GRACE are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of
God:
3

(9) Not of works, lest any man should boast.

(10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has
before ordained that we should walk in them.
10. GRACE STRENGTHENS US WITH THE POWER OF CHRIST IN OUR
WEAKNESSES AND DISTRESSES.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
(9) And he said unto me, My GRACE is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in
weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ
may rest upon me.
(10) Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in
distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
11. GRACE IS DISPENSED THROUGH EDIFYING MINISTRATIONS POWERED
BY DIVINELY GIVEN GRACE.
Ephesians 4:29
(29) Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the
use of edifying, that it may minister GRACE unto the hearers.
Ephesians 3:2
(2) If you have heard of the dispensation of the GRACE of God which is given me toward you:
12. A SPIRITUAL GIFTS OR MINISTERIAL ENDOWMENT IS THE
MANIFESTATION OF A GIVEN MEASURE OF GRACE.
Ephesians 4:7
(7) But unto every one of us is given GRACE according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Romans 12:6-8
(6) Having then gifts differing according to the GRACE that is given to us, whether prophecy,
let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
(7) Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teaches, on teaching;
(8) Or he that exhorts, on exhortation: he that gives, let him do it in simplicity; he that rules,
with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
