During this time where, more than ever the world is in need of good
vibes, positive thinking and some solidarity we do what we can to try
and make the world a better place. Well, we are pretty young, and
theres so much we can do against terrorism, war and the refugee
crisis but we can try and attack the basis of it: prejudice,
misinformation and miscommunication.
Having made this decision we chose a situation, close to where we
live and attend school, two places for people with cerebral palsy, and
started volunteering there once a week.
P R O J E C T D E S C R IP T I O N

Our mission, as our name states, is based on happiness, the simple

act of sharing a smile.
Our idea is to get people talking about cerebral palsy, flooding
them with information, showing them what the people with it are
capable of doing and breaking the stigma (or fear) existent around it.
We will make a catalog portraying every person with CP we meet
during our project; well let people know more about them other than
their condition.
M A R KE T ( C O S T U M E R )

Our market is wide, we pretend not only to pay service to the

people at the centers as also our community, by making them more
informed and trying to open their minds a bit.
Also, within the people at the centers we have a wide range of
ages, types of paralysis and education level, and we intend to learn
how to work with each person and get to know them as individuals.
GOALS

The Sustainable Development Goals, otherwise known as the

Global
Goals, build on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), eight
anti-poverty targets that the world committed to achieving by 2015.
The MDGs, adopted in 2000, aimed at an array of issues that included
slashing poverty, hunger, disease, gender inequality, and access to
water and sanitation. Enormous progress has been made on the

MDGs, showing the value of a unifying agenda underpinned by goals

and targets. Despite this success, the indignity of poverty has not
been ended for all.
The new SDGs, and the broader sustainability agenda, go much
further than the MDGs, addressing the root causes of poverty and the
universal need for development that works for all people.
Based mostly on the last part, the universal need for development
that works for ALL PEOPLE we intend on working exactly on two of
the aspects that we believe affect one of the minorities of our society,
people with disorders/diseases, in this specific case, people with
cerebral palsy.
It is already hard for a country to guarantee good health and
quality education for everybody, let alone people who have special
needs. We believe we are able to make this problem a little less heavy
(at least on a small scale) and we believe we can have some impact in
our community concerning well-being and education.
One of the complaints weve heard, for example, is that sometimes
when a person with CP goes to the doctor he/she doesnt feel heard
and usually doctors only address people accompanying themwe
believe thats something that could be change, with enough thought
put into it, and thats the kind of thing we propose ourselves to do.
MAIN GOAL

Good Health and Well-Being,

Quality Education.
Why this goals? Because
health and education are two
things that we, by living in a
developed country, take for
granted and this is something
people with CP cant do since
they need constant support in
every task they perform on a
daily basis. Our country isnt
yet prepared to respond to the
challenges these disorder (and
many others) bring.

MINOR GOALS

1) Sharing our happiness

and energy with people
with CP;
2) Inform our community
about the disorder;
3) Make
fundraisers
for
future fieldtrips (ex: zoo,
aquariumetc.);

4) Making activities like art

exhibits, garage sales,
concerts;
5) Taking them on fieldtrips;
6) Improve communication
with the outside world;
7) Create partnerships with
local businesses as a way

of having materials for

their
artworks
while
helping to recycle;
8) Create a friend status
(meaning
some
local
stores could have a little
space saved to sell the
things
CNBC
people
make)

S T R AT E G Y

CUSTOMER BENEFITS

People with CP will be able

to
have
new
experiences,
connect with us (teenagers)
which they are not used to and
have someone who can be the
voice they sometimes dont
have.

1)

Finding
partnerships
and making one day
workshops
(laugh
therapy,
gourmet
cooking, music and
singing)

2)

Fieldtrips
(zoo,
aquarium, theatre)

3)

Writing a book

4)

Make an art exhibit at

Oeiras
Parque
(for
example)

5)

Making a short film

ACTIVITIES
MARKETING

In terms of marketing we want to approach people on the street,

spread flyers and posters, set up some garage sales, art exhibits as
weve talked about but mostly well be promoting our idea through
social media.

COSTS

We dont have, at the time any idea of how much we will need and
spend along the way. We dont have a big project that needs funding
but many small activities that will cost something along the way. This
being said, costs will be planned along with each activity.
