Effect:
The performer is able to put ANY thought into a persons mind.

Introduction:
Everyone has heard the clich phrase, the possibilities are endless. With Total Control, its
absolutely true. You can guess or predict thought of drawings, words, numbers, shapes, and even
actions; literally anything. I think most mentalists expected that for something to look so akin to
real telepathy, it would have to be difficult and complex to achieve; yet this may be the easiest,
most straightforward approach to the plot of direct mind reading.
For those who use a nail writer regularly, should you ever lose it, you could use Total Control
and no one would notice anything different; except that you could show the reveal before they
ever say a word out loud. When you read on, youll see that this isnt some crazy new technique,
but just a well constructed routine. It has so few parts, yet they fit together perfectly to create
something very close to a miracle.
Before reading further, I would love for you to try and work it out, just for a bit of mental
exercise. At no point is any thought written down or spoken out loud by the participant. The
effect at its bare bones is that a spectator visualizes any thought on a single index card, and then
you draw it. No extra index cards are used and no switches are involved. All thats needed is an
ungimmicked pen or marker and a blank index card.
