1) Download any ONE simulator for Optical Fiber communications

2) Briefly explain the important features and simulation tools of it.
3) Model and Simulate any one from the following components of the OFC field

Light Coupling, Connectors and Splices

Optical Modes and field configurations
Total Internal Reflection
Fiber Structures and RI Profiles
Optical Sources and Detectors
Fiber Attenuation
Fiber Dispersion and Distortion
Optical Modulation
Optical Amplification
Optical Switching
Optical Multiplexing
Digital Optical Receiver
Analog Optical Receiver
Optical Link Budget Analysis
Any other relevant OFC topic

No repetition or duplication of the simulation topic.

All the project batches must submit the features of their chosen simulator and
component/block being simulated before Mid Exam compulsorily.
All the project batches must submit their total work to CR, who in turn shall
submit a CD before the last working day of the semester.
CD shall contain the pdf, simulator and demo files for the tools and results.
