What is Guerrilla Advertising?


Guerrilla marketingis an advertisement strategy concept
designed for businesses to promote their products or services in
an unconventional way with little budget to spend. The main
point of guerrilla marketing is that the activities are done
exclusively on the streets or other public places, such as
shopping centres, parks or beaches with maximum people access
so as to attract a bigger audience.
Types of Guerrilla Advertising: Ambient, Ambush, Stealth,
Viral andStreet Marketing. The term "guerrilla marketing" is
based off ofguerrilla warfare, which employs odd tactics to
achieve an objective. In 1984, the term guerrilla marketing was
introduced byLeo Burnett's creative directorJay Conrad
Levinsonin his bookGuerrilla Advertising.

Ambient - Ambient communication is a complex form of


corporate communication that uses elements of the environment,
including nearly every available physical surface, to convey
messages that elicit customer engagement
Ambush - A company or a product seeks to ride on the publicity
value of a major event without having contributed to the financing
of the event through sponsorship.

Stealth - Stealth marketing is a deliberate act of entering,
operating in, or exiting a market in a furtive, secretive or
imperceptible manner. People get involved with the product
without them actually knowing that they are the part of
advertisement campaign.

commercials.Broadcastmedia reaches a broad audience. Radio and
television broadcastmarketing is known as mass marketing since
national or even worldwide audiences can be reached. In the early
1920s, the first radio stations were established by radio equipment
manufacturers and retailers who offered programs in order to sell
more radios to consumers. As time passed, manynon-profit
organizationsfollowed suit in setting up their own radio stations, and
included: schools, clubs and civic groups. In the early 1950s,
