the appropriate level of rigor.
The artifact I chose is my weekly lesson plans
document that I use to make my plans for the
week. As you can see, I have my standards at the
top that the county wants me to teach for the
week that represents the appropriate grade level
and content matched up with that specific
standard

Sequences lessons and concepts to ensure
coherent and appropriate prior knowledge.
The artifact I chose was the background
knowledge and content knowledge section of my
lesson plan for a math lesson. This section
showed my expectations of what I believe my
students should know about the lesson I am
teaching. Also shows that I have the needed
background knowledge to teach that specific
content.

Designs instruction for students to achieve
mastery.
My artifact is my mastery section of my lesson
plan. For this particular lesson, I had three color
chips that I would hand out to each student that
represented their level of mastery. I would then
meet with each color in a small group and have
material for them based on their mastery level of
the lesson.

Selects appropriate formative assessments to
monitor learning.
The artifact I chose was the formative and
summative assessment section in one of my
lesson plans. I used formative assessments such
as turn and talks and student teaching which
shows I chose a wide variety so I had an effective
way to monitor my students learning.

Uses a variety of data independently and in
collaboration with colleagues, to evaluate student
learning outcomes, adjust planning and continuously
improve the effectiveness of lessons.
I have three artifacts for this FEAPS. The first two are
two different types of data, student work and
anecdotal notes that I take on students that show I
take more than one types of data. The last one is my
connected lesson where I had to change and
improve the lesson plan from the data collected from
the first days lesson. This shows that I am
continuously trying to improve my daily lessons.

Develops learning experiences that require
students to demonstrate a variety of applicable
skills and competencies.
The artifact I chose is an activity students had to
complete on text structures after a lesson on that
same content. Shows that students must show
me they have mastered the content of that
specific lesson.
