Scrapbook

I shared my collage with my students and had students in my


homeroom class develop a collage.
The Delicious scrapbook contained several links to photos
and websites that were utilized in the classroom. The
delicious assignment also included lesson plans for each link
and picture

TEASe video on
voting.
Video was used in class as both a facilitator of classroom
discussion and to introduce a social studies unit involving
civic responsibility and branches of government.

TEASe video on Video used to introduce this objective to students. Students


alternative energy then discussed the importance of alternative energy. One of
my classes even clapped after my video!

The Delicious scrapbook was used throughout my unit on


Earth, Space, and the moon. Students used this resource to
review and make diagrams of their own.

I utilized Quiz Revolution in my class to assess student


knowledge on the Earth, Sun, and moon. I also created a
quiz for a Social Studies Unit on American colonies.

Collage Project The Collage project utilized graphics and pictures from the
internet and previous Powerpoints.
Treasure Hunt
The Treasure Hunt assignment was introduced to my students
in a whole class lesson. Students were instructed how to
access the assignment. My treasure hunt also included video
and the video was used to facilitate a classroom discussion
with the students.

Knowledge from the Copyright power point was utilized in


the production of my two TEASe assignments.

Although this assignment focused on the IRIS program I


work with students using an assistive technology program
called Kurzweil. This program uses computers to read the
text to students. Students can also highlight words in their
text that they do not know and the definition is given to them.

Although no training was given to teachers by the


administrator on my campus I had our Special Education
Coordinator download the program on my computer in my
classroom and demonstrate to me how the program works.

As 5th Grade Lead Teacher, I assisted one of my team


members who is in her first year in adhering to copyright
laws in the production of PowerPoints and videos.
