Definition or Description
American National Standards Institute. Organization which sets standards for
technology and nontechnology.
Network which connects other networks.
Wide bandwidth data transmission, can transport multiple signals.
Category 5 cable, twisted pair cable used for structured cabling computer
networks, such as Ethernet.
Category 6 cable, twisted-pair cable used for Gigabit Ethernet.
Cable laid in the plenum spaces of buildings.
Combination of physical media (cables,etc) and devices that allow
transmissions of data through the media.
