Abstract

In Indonesia, the higher life expectancy where health and welfare problems in
the elderly population is growing. In 2010 the elderly population in Indonesia
amounted to 9.77% and life expectancy (life expectancy) of approximately 67.4
years which is expected in 2020 reached 11.34% and a life expectancy of about
71.1 years. The increasing life expectancy, the more health problems arise. A
quarter of the people in Puskesmas Tirtajaya an elderly group. Based on data
from the annual report of activities in 2014 in the Elderly program Tirtajaya
Health Center, District Tirtajaya, Karawang, the number of elderly who receive
health services at the health center Elderly Santun approximately 64.45% of the
total elderly population there. Based on the evaluation of the problem Elderly
Health Program at the Health Center Tirtajaya period of January to December
2015 by comparing the coverage of the target has been determined using a
systems approach. The results obtained from the evaluation program of eight
indicators of the success of the program which found four indicators that exceed
the benchmark. Obtained two programs were prioritized weighing 3.31%
coverage of the target for a period of 12 months by 50%, and coverage
extension elderly reached 0.15% of the target for a period of 12 months is 50%.
It is expected to optimize the health center recording and reporting system,
empowering infrastructure, community empowerment and training of cadres
were implemented in order to overcome the lack tercapaian these indicators.
