North Koreas Nationalism
September 4th, 1969. Ho Chi Minh was the first successful leader to
mix nationalism and communism. He was an inspiration for the people of
North Korea. Both North and South Korea had a hardship between each other.
The South wanted independence and didnt believe in the communism part
of government. This is when the North and South fought in its civil war until
the south had their American ally come to assist in the war. North Korea
believed strongly in their government. The North completely defended their
communist government and where their nationalism comes into perspective.
They bases their government on communism, nationalism, and fascism.
North Korea had a great advantage over South Korea. The north
supplied the south before the civil war broke out. The north had much more
military power and supplies compared to the south, thats why America sent
much more equipment to the south, and to support the social decisions the
south made, meaning they wanted a democratic way of government because
communism government was not fare. North Korea was in command of any
imports or exports like gas, diesel or oil. For the north wanting to win the
battle, the cut all of the souths resources. It was hard for the south to grow

food from farms because the north used tactics to destroy their farms to
basically starve everyone to make them surrender. North Korea had

many more civilians to support their communist government. Their
population was much higher and healthier. They overpopulated the south
with hundreds of thousands of people in their military and more to support
the government. North Korea ordered its civilians to serve in one way or
another. Most were forced to serve but they were honored to the highest
extent toward their communist government. Many wanted to serve because
they liked the way they lived. They believed there wasnt a need for a
change. It was much of forced labor but most believed it was necessary for
the sake of their country. North Korea had its advantages of overrunning the
south.
The best time of North Korea was in the 1960s. This time was when
aggression grew larger. A country of angry nationalist changed North Korea.
North Korea disgraced the Foreign Factions that latter helped them because
it prevented the Foreign Factions from gaining support.1 Having North Korea
be racist and xenophobic to its enemies, helped their regime.2 The
dictatorship of North Korea was very committed to nationalism. They also

had ethnicity problems by basing politics on emotion and people being

stripped of their logical rights.3 North Korea had ideologies made up against
other countries for example they made an anti-Americanism ideology. These
ideologys brought its citizens together, to form liberalism.

North Korea is one of the most nationalistic countries. One of the first
countries to combine communism with nationalism. The people of North
Korea support the government and proven by past wars like Vietnam. North
Korea vs South Korea, battling for different ways to live. The North supported
themselves and the war was not lost or won. They left it at mutual because
of the souths allies; America who decided to pull away because of the
amount of casualties and the cost of war. In the end, the North stayed the
same because of North Koreas nationalism.
