Some believe that the development of tourism may bring benefits to local
area. Others hold the view that the growth just havegrowth just has negative
impacts on the area. Write an essay of 250 words to discuss both sides of the
issue.
Recently, tourism has come up as an important part in the economy of regions. However,
that the effects thatof the ourisms development of tourism may have on local area are
still on debatebecomes a controversial issue. In this essay, I am going to discuss both
sides of this question in term of advantages and disadvantages.
On the one hand, the growth of tourism helps local area attract more investment. In
fact, the more people come to visit, the more well-known the areass become. As a result,
these places are supposed to be potential markets for investor. Besides, tourisms
development helps local authority reduce employment. Due to best meet the demands
of tourists, local government needs to improvefacilitate their infrastructure and call for
investment, which may create more jobs for residents. Also, the development of service
may motivate the local people upgrade themselves, which that helps to improve their
awareness of education or culture.
On the other hand, the development of tourism has a bad impact on environment. It is
no doubt that the increase in the number of visitors is always in line with the increase in
the number of vehicles which pollute the s. Accordingly, the huge number of vehicles
leads to the harmful exhaust fume released to atmosphere with a huge amount of
exhaust fume emitted into the air. The fact shows that littering has come up as an out of - control problem in some areas. If there is no stricter law enforced, these places of
interest will become a dump of rubbish. Moreover, the development of tourism put a
severe strain on local authority in term of accommodation, entertainment, transportand
transport system. Hence, they have to clear away cut green lands, a lung of area, to
make wayroom for the construction of these things, which endanger our life.
All in all, it is necessary to find a suitable way to develop tourism. Also, we should bear
in mind that action, which is a responsibility of not only the local government but also
the inhabitants. Thus, everyone should put hand together to solve this issue effectively.
