The maps show the developments which occurred at the seaside town of Templeton
during a period of 15 years, from 1990 to 2005.
In 1990, the town was a much greener residential area with a large number of trees and
individual houses, but it witnessed a number of spectacular changes during the
nextafter 15 years later. The most noticeable is that all trees eeast of the river were cut
down. Moreover, all individual the houses were knocked down to makeand made way
for blocks of flats as well as a huge super market (in the) south west of the seaside.
Further ermore, developments were the constructions of an airport and some houses
near the north east of the river which replacedbeing given way to a lot of trees. In
addition, a new industrial estate with factories and a ferry station were built (in the)
south east of the seaside. In aAdditional, the railway line way was expanded from
Eeast to Wwest.
All in all, a comparison of the two maps reveals that there were as a significant changes
which turnedfrom a largely rural area into a mainly urban landscape. It bases on a
comparison of the two maps.
