Statement from Arnie Rothschild, Spokesman for the Republican Assembly Campaign Committee (RACC) We know John Ceretto has a long history of being confused and unpredictable. John Cerettos very first bill as a new assemblyman in 2011 was to create Tea Party license plates. On Monday, John Ceretto voted to give free college tuition to illegal aliens. In 2013, he voted against the SAFE Act. Monday, he voted for $15 million to fund the SAFE Act. Last year, John Ceretto was praised by agriculture groups for his support of family farms. On Monday, John Ceretto voted to cut funding to local farmers by 50 percent. In 2012, John Ceretto supported a state spending cap because he believed Albany should spend within a cap like schools, families and local communities are forced to. On Monday, John Ceretto voted to nearly double the state spending cap and increase taxes by $5.6 billion. John Ceretto said he has always put people ahead of politics, and that wont change. We wish we could believe him, but his voting record states otherwise. ###
