Research and discuss the social climate and significant events that ultimately led to the state
sponsored genocide in Nazi Germany.
Horrendous events that should have never occurred. Those of a particular ethnic group or
nation were deliberately killed involving in large amounts of people. The cause of genocide
would be because one group of people thinks that another group is inferior and are creating
problems in the nation. Hitler felt like the other races were causing threats and were becoming to
mainstream in the country. The majority of the people in Germany felt different things in regard
to what was going on in the country. Hitler sought out to deliberately and systematically destruct
any group that was not of his liking and he used intimidation in order to get his tasks done. The
bad social climate of the citizens in Germany led to significant events that ultimately led to the
state sponsored genocide in Nazi Germany.
There were crucial things that went on in the events leading to the massacre that Hitler
intentionally rooted. Later on, the Nazis announced laws that institutionalized many of the
racial theories that were used in the Nazis ideology. Some of the laws included: prohibition
from marrying non-Jews, attending or teaching at German schools or universities, holding
government jobs, practicing law or medicine, or publishing books. According to research, He
therefore outlined new laws for the protection of German blood and honor which would
"regulate the problems of marriage between 'Aryans' and 'non-Aryans (Website 1).
Hitler believed that the Jews and other social groups were not as equal as rank as him and he

Bell 2
thought the Germans to be superior to any other group, thus that sparked his idea of isolation
from the other groups despised. The Nuremberg Laws forbid marriages and any intercourse
between Jews and Germans, which distanced the two groups apart and kept the Germans in
high command with great pride. In response to the question, Regardless of what Hitler
said, he implemented these laws to ostracize, discriminate and expel Jews from German
society (Website 1). The laws had a major impact on the economic and social economy of
Germany. People convicted of violating any of the laws included in the terms, were imprisoned
and discriminated harshly against. Many of the Jews and other groups were forced to move
from their homes into safety and emigration was problematic. Hitler spread his beliefs and
implanted outrageous ideas into the German peoples minds towards the true identity of the
Jews and other disliked groups. As a result of this, Regardless of what Nazi officials said
these laws inflicted humiliation and suffering on Jews (Website 1). Many of the German
officers enjoyed the humiliation of the Jews and other because it didnt at all affect them in any
way and they benefit from the control of the imprisoned people. The Nazis considered the Jews
not human and they encouraged others to think the same. Several people suffered from these
laws because they were unjust and unfair. The laws forced people to do things that they didnt
want to and restricted a lot of things for the Jewish community. Hitler generated enactments
that severely hurt and destroyed many innocent lives and attitudes.
Life before the Holocaust in Germany was definitely depressing and difficult for the
struggling citizens living there. Many were recovering from the war efforts and were trying to
put everything back together. The social climate was different for all the people as some
struggled more than others. Germany was in desperate need of help. As an example,
However, the tumultuous years after World War I prepared Germans for any solution to

Bell 3
their problems (Website 2). Germany had suffered heavy losses from war which put feelings
of severe despondency and dejection on the citizens hopeful of success. The country reached
out to Hitler because they believed that he could put Germany back in power and preserve the
peace of the country. Hitler was in power and was willing to do anything in order to make
Germany a dominant country. In addition, Germany experienced a time of social
turbulence and upheaval (Website 2). A lot of conflict and uncertainty among the people
created confusion to where Germany stood in the world. There were violent changes that
occurred that disruption the communities and economy in Germany. After Germany had lost in
war, many citizens lost hope and when returning from war, the soldiers returned home to find
their jobs taken over by Jews and other groups. Many of the Germans blamed the Jews for their
defeat in war and they believed that the Jews had betrayed them by supporting the other side.
Germans longed to restore their past unity and glory. During these years, German economy
suffered severe depression and inflation causing mass unemployment, starvation, and
hopelessness (Website 2). As Jews and other groups did the jobs of Germans, that meant less
opportunities of work for the citizens, which resulted in high unemployment rates. The country
called for help from other countries for the start of reconstruction in their land. Since the
Germans called for drastic change, Hitler came into action to make sure that Germany was
returned to the people and restored itself back to where it stood, powerful and independent. The
social climate in Germany was very devastating as it led to a further genocide in Nazi
Germany.
There were many significant events that changed the outcome leading to the genocide
that the Nazis created in Germany. Many people stood behind what Hitler said and fully agreed
by his ideas that he proposed. Hitler had a lot of followers that helped him carry out plans with

Bell 4
the support that he needed. As recalled by research, The Nazis moved swiftly to
consolidate their power into a dictatorship (Website 3). Hitler would be considered a
dictator, where he ruled with total power over the country, by obtaining power by force. Adolf
promised a lot to the people of Germany and was going to keep his word, no matter the
circumstances. When Hitler was conducted as chancellor of Germany later on, they needed him
to control the climate of fear and he knew that things wouldnt stay the same for long. As
following, The Nazis abolished individual rights and protections: freedom of the press,
assembly, and expression were nullified, as well as the right to privacy (Website 3). As
things changed started to change, under the rule of Hitler, he began to demolish the individual
rights of many of the Jews and other groups and treated them that objects that he most
definitely had to get rid of and make disappear. The political system under Hitler was taking
away the basic rights of the people and removing the rights of the unwanted didnt come
instantaneously. These actions eventually led to the extermination camps, where the Jews and
others were treated like animals and went through series of struggle. In conclusion, The
Germans, as the strongest and fittest, were destined to rule, while the weak and racially
adulterated Jews were doomed to extinction (Website 3). A lot of the people were brained
washed of what Hitler was saying, so they viewed the Jews and others as the enemy. Hitler was
proud to be a German-Austrian and shared many similarities as the citizens, as they wanted the
power of Germany to be preserved and back on track to success. The treated the unwanted
groups inhumanly and didnt care about their points of views. Hitler wasnt willing to listen
and only cared and believed that he was always correct. A lot of things happened that Hitler
caused, which changed the outcome of the future forever.

Bell 5
As there was a bad social climate that spread through Germany, there were significant
events that led to the genocide in Nazi Germany. It wasnt fair in any way for these innocent
people to be treated the way they were. Hitler was a cruel and made promises in order to
persuade the people that what he was doing was morally right for the people. Adolf Hitler still
today is a much hated man who changed the outcome of history forever. Hitler brutally
destroyed lives of millions of people and created a world of hatred. He was going to do
anything, no matter how far he had to go. A country only seeks power and money, but they
dont know the feeling of the people living there and their attitudes towards the situation. Many
Germans were prejudice against ones appearance and beliefs, but you cant judge a book by its
cover. Its critical to remember what shaped our world, but its hard to forget the suffrage and
struggle that each and every person went through, in order to establish this world we all live in.
