INDIVIDUAL PROJECT BRIEF AND ASSESSMENT
CRITERIA
Project Task:
Analysis and exploration of the nature of being a Stage Manager.
The student will create a number of scenarios (3) from which they will
analyse possible outcomes. Each scenario will be addressed according to
possible solutions relating to a number of different size and types of
theatre companies (3). In the end, the student will identify what they
believe to be the preferred choice for each scenario.
In addition, the student will also work with WNO on Kimillilitonin as
DSM with support form trained mentors form WNO.
Project with include all necessary paperwork associated with these roles
and documentation of the process.

In marking your work on this module your tutor expects you to:
Timetable
You will have a series of scheduled tutorial times with your supervisor, as
well as some group sessions focusing on presentations. The times for
your tutorials will be scheduled as things progress, as might the content if
needed. We have attempted to provide you with some targets for each of
the meetings to aid your progression.
Session 1 Wednesday 2nd March PA002 10am
This initial group session will be a discussion about the module aims, and
the initial briefs will be distributed for discussion in the subsequent
tutorials. Please take away your brief and make any notes on it that you
might like to. After your meeting well collect up the briefs, tidy up any
necessary amendments and then distribute them to you electronically.
Meeting 1 Wednesday 2nd March Schedule on Moodle
This introductory meeting will enable you to meet your tutor and engage
in a discussion about the project.
At this meeting you should demonstrate:
A professional attitude to time-keeping and preparation
An understanding of the depth and breadth of the project the students
wishes to undertake

A talk from Jacob Gough from National Theatre Wales about the Roald
Dahl 100 celebrations in Cardiff in September
Meeting 2 - Monday 7th March SJA Office
At this meeting you should demonstrate:
A professional attitude to time-keeping and preparation
Create a check list of paperwork & documentation needed during
placement
Session 2 (entire group) Tuesday 8th March 10am 1pm in PA002
Welcome back!
Meeting 7 Monday 18th April
This meeting will be a discussion of the submission and conclusions.
