To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is in reference to and in support of teaching candidate Miss Amanda
Fulton. Amanda is an exceptional young lady possessing many admirable qualities!
I would recommend Amanda for a teaching position without reservation.
Working with and getting to know Amanda was a pleasure this school year. She
came into Royal View with fresh ideas, an eagerness to begin teaching the students,
and a willingness to not only learn from the veteran teachers, but to also learn from
first year teachers, like myself. These three qualities are crucial to have when
educating young minds. Amanda quickly established rapport with her students. She
is intuitive in understanding and evaluating student knowledge. She took initiative
by collaborating with her 1st grade team to understand specific content area
strategies, and curriculum standards to best meet the needs of all her students.
Amanda has exceeded all of my expectations for a long-term substitute.
Amanda taught in a classroom with students that had all different learning styles
and needs. One student in particular had a very difficult time remaining on-task and
was often times observed communicating inappropriately with peers and adults.
The first week Amanda was in the classroom, she reached out to me for advice on
designing a behavior plan that fit the needs of this young student. Amanda not only
created a positive plan, but she also communicated with the parent daily on the
childs progress in his behavior and academics. In a matter of weeks, this young
student began to access the curriculum because Amanda implemented a positive
behavior plan that focused on reinforcing the students appropriate behaviors. She
recorded the data and could show that this child was improving both academically
and behaviorally. I was so proud and pleased to see a young teacher, new to the
building and new to the district, come in with such determination, excitement and
ready to handle whatever came her way.
Amanda is a take-charge person who is able to present unique and effective ideas
for any situation she encounters. She not only presented herself as an admirable
role model while maintaining a clear sense of purpose, but was always looking for
ways to improve her teaching and presented her ideas in a professional manner.
Amanda has been an asset to Royal View Elementary. Her dedication to the students
and the school is an admirable trait. It is obvious that Amanda has a sincere desire
and ability to reach people on a level they can understand, no matter what age, skill
level, or background. Please feel free to call me if you wish for additional
information regarding Miss Amanda Fulton.

Respectfully,

Miss Kayla Freriks
