Reaction Paper:
For me, abortion is really bad. After watching the film, I realized how evil
abortion is and how it is a form of killing. I agree that killing a baby is a sin and that
abortion must be contained and taught to kids that it is a horrible thing to do. There
are other ways to handle this issue without killing the baby, like putting the baby up
for adoption, giving it to a close relative, or a loving family that can't have children.
People should think before they act especially when it involves abortion. People
should not kill a baby just because they don't want them. Babies are also human
beings. They have their right to be born. In my own opinion, it is better to indulge
yourself in safe sex that doing such horrible thing like abortion after. But, I always
believe that self-control is the most effective birth control. Wait, until you get
married.
Abortion to Conscience
Conscience is the inner core of human beings whereby, compelled to seek the
truth, they recognize the objective standards of moral conduct, indeed the dictates
of God's law, and make a practical judgment of what is to be done here and now in
applying those standards. The exercise of conscience in health care is generally
considered synonymous with refusal to participate in contested medical services,
especially abortion. Failure to recognize that conscience compels abortion provision,
just as it compels refusals to offer abortion care, renders conscience an empty
concept and leaves us all with no moral ground (high or low) on which to stand.
Learnings:
Maybe its easy for me to say that we shouldnt do abortion just because Im
not one of those women who get pregnant unintentionally. But every one of us has a
choice between doing good and bad. In this case, I learned that it is better to
choose a lesser evil which is safe sex than indulging yourself in abortion. Thus, it is
safer not to indulge in sex if youre not yet ready of any responsibility. Self-control is
the highest form of birth control.
