Ingls. Esos estudiantes son la inspiracin para este sitio web. Con ellos en mente, el autor ha
querido crear un sitio que ayuda a los estudiantes de habla hispana que tienen poco o ningn
conocimiento sobre el idioma Ingls aprender las palabras y frases bsicas que se utilizan en las
escuelas de todo el pas. Este sitio es slo un trampoln para dar a los estudiantes el conocimiento y,
finalmente, la confianza en s mismos para que puedan convertirse en aprendices activos en el aula.
DeShonna Prescott is an undergraduate at Rutgers University. While at the university she has had the
privilege of working with and encountering many different people and their cultures. She was given
the pleasure of working with Spanish speaking students at a local tutoring center in New Brunswick,
New Jersey. While helping them with their homework assignments she noticed how much trouble a
lot of students were having because they did not understand English well enough. Those students are
the inspiration for this website. With them in mind, the author wanted to create a site that helps
Spanish speaking students who have little to no knowledge about the English language learn the
basic words and phrases that are used in schools all across the country. This site is just a stepping
stone to give those students knowledge and eventually confidence in themselves so that they can
become active learners in the classroom.
