THE STAGES
12.

Before we had our ocular visit, we planned 2 weeks before the day to brain
storm everything we need during the visit. The planning was held at Pizza parlor in
Quezon City, since everyone was near to that place. One member volunteered to
contact the barangay captain to book us the date so that we can be accompanied
during the visit. We distributed every task to each member of the group especially
in the assessment and profiling of the community. Everyone participated with their
hearts out.

REFLECTION

126.
1. Based on your community walk assessments and CDP, what are the possible challenges
that you might encounter in implementing your proposed program/project?
127.
One possible challenge that our group might encounter is finding the enough
space needed to implement the feeding program. The community we visited has a narrow
area, so there might be a possibility that the people may be crowded during the feeding
program proper. Another is that some residents might come back more than once, and this
might lead in immediate consumption of the food prepared; other people might not be able to
eat if this situation will befall.
2. What are the possible outcomes of your proposed program/project to the community? Will
it be helpful?
128.
129. Our group believes that the program we hope to implement will aid in
alleviating the malnutrition experienced by most of the children in the community. We are
also making sure that the food that we will prepare will comply to the needs of the
residents in such a way that the meals contain the necessary nutritional components, such
as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, etc. Through this, the chances of
depreciating the rate of malnutrition and underweight will occur.
130.

3. What are the difficulties that you have encountered in the preparation of your CDP for
your chosen community?
131.
132.
Knowing that the crime rate (e.g. presence of snatchers, holdups, and
drug abuse) of the areas near the community we visited is a bit high made us feel
alarmed. So the assistants of the Barangay captain accompanied us during our visit.
The warnings given by the Barangay officials aided us in planning well about the
programs that we will implement. The allotted area where the feeding program will
happen is also our priority; but this priority might be regarded as a difficulty
because the safety not only of the residents of the community but also of the
members of the group from the crimes must also be put into consideration.
