Design a web page using HTML to display a logo and content.
Acquire a working knowledge of HTML and basic understanding of CSS.
Identify hex colors for web design.
Compress multiple files in a zipped folder to attach as one file.

Process:

For this project I used Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create a

two-sided, offset, folding informational brochure. I used Photoshop to edit
the pictures and create non-destructive layer masks to hide parts of the
pictures. I used Illustrator to create a vector logo that can be re-sized to any
desired size. I then used InDesign to layout and style the brochure including
body and heading paragraph styles. Picture text wraps based upon alpha
channels created in Photoshop. As well as incorporating design principles
such as shape, contrast, repetition, and color. This was a fun assignment and
I really learned a lot.

Program(s)/Tools:
Adobe InDesign

Objectives:

Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography.

Incorporate basic InDesign skills to improve basic flier layout.
Create a project folder with image, logo and InDesign document to keep
links intact.

Process:

For this project I started by sketching out four different design options. I
then narrowed down to one option and pulled some of the elements that
I liked from the other to for this design. I then used this sketch as a template for my layout in Adobe InDesign. I used the double stroke and circle
pattern as a repeated pattern throughout the design and highlighted some
key information with reverse type in a grey box to add some contrast. I also
worked to leave ample white space to allow the message to flow.

Process:

I really enjoyed this assignment and had a fun time working on it. I used
Adobe Illustrator to create the logo and then I used Brackets, and open
source HTML editor (formally Adobe Edge Code) to edit the CSS and
HTML. I hadnt ever used Brackets before but wanted to try it out. It has a
great live preview option that allows you to view edits in real time and many
other neat plug-ins available. I also used Adobe Photoshop to determine hex
color values from my logo to apply to my web page.
