THE COURSE

The Tahoe Key Triathlon consists of three primary landscapes. The first segment of is a 6.2
mile run taking place in various trails throughout the Sego North Forest.
The triathlon will then lead into the swimming portion taking place in Lake Wakapi.
Participates will swim a distance of 0.9 miles across Lake Wakapi before reaching the final
portion of the triathlon.
The Tahoe Key Triathlon will finish with 24.8 miles of cycling through the Delhi mountain
range. The trail will lope back to the Sego North Forrest where the race originally began.

THE CONDITIONS
Temperatures are predicted to be somewhere between 70-80 degrees through the
Sego North Forest. Trails are generally smooth with little to no incline.

The swim across Lake Wakapi is predicted to be in the high 50s or low 60s.
Waters will be calm although there will be moderate wave resistance.
Throughout the final portion of this triathlon, biking through the Delhi
mountain range, temperatures are expected rise into the 60-70s range. The
Delhi mountain range has some dramatic uphills as well as downhills.

Process
I started with the image of the mountain and sky. I then masked in
the city. I then used the lasso tool to capture the light house and then
blended it in. After this I added a blue fog filter because my
image looked too pink. I then added colored
typography and a drop shadow.

Objectives
To communicate an edgy, exciting vibe for an energy
drink company.
Process
I created the logo using simple shapes in Adobe Illustrator.
I also used the pathfinder tool to cut and combine these
simple shapes. Once the logo was created, I opened a new
two page InDesign document and placed my logo file into
the InDesign document.

A logo for an indie, rock band located in Provo, Utah
Objectives
To create a logo that communicated the festive, fun, and carefree sound
of this band.
Process
I created the logo using shapes in Adobe Illustrator. I also used the direct
selection tool to manipulate the direction these shapes went in. I revised this
project by altering the colors and creating white space behind my lettes.

Process
After I marked up all my content and inserted my image, I attached
a pre-made CSS document to my HTML. I then used the colors
from my logo as the colors for my web page. I
used the HTML validator to check my
documents for the webpage.

Process
After sketching, I created shapes and text in Adobe InDesign.
I incorporated the FOCUS principles in my layout. I used two
types of fonts to create effective typography. Another
important part of this design was ensuring
everything was aligned.
