Guerilla Tactics?
Guerilla tactics defined as
avoiding pitched combat like battles
and resorting to tactics which
hinder your enemies ability to fight
by indirect way.

Communism Guerrilla Tactic


-Mao led the communist army using guerrilla attacked against
nationalists.
-The communists wanted to spread their ideas to the peasants
to educate them, gaining their trust and support.
-The communist wanted to control the region, spreading the
ideology to create a following that believed in what they would
be fighting for.
-Mao avoided battles by giving territory to
the enemy forces which was a space for
time

SAT-CHO ALLIANCE

Sat Cho Alliance


It was the military alliance that formed in
1886.
The name Sat-Cho is an abbreviation of
Satsuma,Choshu(the southern province in Japan).
The Satch Alliance was against
opening the ports to foreign
nations.

In December of 1867 the Sat-Cho


Alliance wanted Yoshinobu turn over the
full authority of Japan to have the emperor
again. In January 1868, the alliance led a
military uprising and overthrew the shogun
and his system. The Sat-Cho Alliance made
the emperor to have full imperial powers.
The new emperor, called Meiji, he was
young but he educated and became the
first emperor in nearly one thousand years
and have full control over the shogunates of
Japan.

The United States and Europeans countries
forced Japan to open markets to the world.
Japan was ruled by the Tokugawa clan under
the system of feudalism.
The emperor was just a figurehead.
Did not gave money and freedom for the
ordinary citizens.
The partake in politics and the social mobility
was very limited.
The Tokugawa shoguns had the most power to
ruled the nation.

The Meiji Restoration led to the
industrilialization of Japan.
The emperor got the power back.
The Shogun was overthrow.
Japan evolved into a very different country
due to the influence of Western nations.

Some of samurai who have highly idealistic felt
that the westerners was an attack on the
traditional values of Japan
The shogun signed the treaties without the
emperors permission.
They fought against other samurai who were in
Shoguns side and eventually Sat-Cho won.
