WHY THIS TOPIC?

I am struggling with the decision on whether to become a nurse or a
doctor. Becoming a doctor takes a lot of time in school and before I
decide for sure that I want to go to medical school I want to be a
informed on the topic as I can be. There are many pros to becoming a
doctor rather than a nurse but there is also quite a few cons. The point of
this project is to inform not only myself but my audience what these pros
and cons are. I am also interested in learning some of the requirements of
the job, like learning how to intubate when passage is blocked.

SALARY
Anesthesiologist get payed more than
Nurse Anesthetist do. Nurse Anesthetist on
average get payed $170,000 and
Anesthesiologist get about $336,000 on

average.

COMPARISON CHART

HOW TO INTUBATE IF
PASSAGE IS BLOCKED
Anesthesiologist can use many different techniques when trying to
intubate when passage is blocked, firstly the doctor must find out
where the problem is.

EDUCATION
Anesthesiologist spend way more time in school, first there is four
years of college, then medical school and after that there is residency
and specialization into a specific field in this case one would have to
specialize in anesthesiology. Where as Nurse Anesthetist are required
to get their BSN, then they must work in ICU for two years, and lastly
they must go to Nurse Anesthetist school for about 2 years. To

sum it up anesthesiologist spend 12 years in training and nurse

anesthetist spend about 8 years in school.

EDUCATION

MEDICAL PRACTICE
Nurse Anesthetist can do everything Anesthesiologist can do
medical practice wise but they cannot supervise others work.
Usually Nurse Anesthetist are supervised by Anesthesiologist but
they can also work without supervision. It mostly just depends
where one works. But Anesthesiologist and Nurse Anesthetist
learn the same exact thing in school, Ive heard they use the same
exact textbooks in school.
