AZIPROP - Underwater Podded Propeller

In the case of the extremely compact Azipropdrive, the electric motor is fitted within a
hydrodynamic formed casing that can be set up in systems to rotate up to 180 under
water. The drive provides the ship with an extreme manoeuvrability.
The AZIPROP version is currently available for performances up to 10 kW. Performance
requiriong up 50kW are being planned for the future 2012.

The output signals for the H101 podded dynamometers via the BNC connectors from the
telemetry pick-up and signal conditioning racks is Analogue 5V DC two channels per pod
measuring element for thrust and torque. The speed output this is typically either Analogue
10V DC or frequency of 1024 pulse per revolution.
Recommended Propeller Sizes:
The H101 Podded Propeller Dynamometer should be fitted with propellers of combined mass
no greater mass than 2,500g. This is because of the overall compact size of the equipment and
the resultant high loads on the drive shaft, gearbox and measuring equipment. - Aluminium is
the preferred and recommended material of manufacture.
