assignment of the celebration of Easter in Spain,
and Mexico.
The questions your readers want to know are:
1. How is the celebration of Holy Week
in Spain and Mexico similar or
different from our celebration?

Do they have an Easter Bunny and Egg Hunts?

Is there a parade in Spain and Mexico, and is it like our Easter

parades?
You will work with a partner to create a two-paragraph newspaper article
discussing the celebrations of Easter. One of you will focus on the similarities,
and the other will focus on and write about the differences. The article should
include a title that will grab readers' attention and should include at least two
pictures that will be found during your web search.

The first paragraph will focus on the similarities between the celebrations in the
various countries. The second paragraph will focus on the differences in the
celebrations between Mexico & Spain, and the U.S. If needed students may
include a third paragraph.
1st: Look at the traditions of semana santa in Spain.
2nd: Look at the traditions of semana santa in Mexico.
