What is there in nursing?
People think of nursing as just a doctors helper, in some cases this might be true but not
all the time. Some of the time the doctors nurse is not just his nurse or is not working with him
in general, they just happen to talk for probably a brief minute or two. Some nurses are
independent or they have their own group, there is more to a nurse than meets the eye. There are
people however who are not able to handle it because they can not handle the hardships of it, but
there are a few who are willing to pull through the hardships to be able to do the job they want.
Not all of the nurses are able to do what they sign up for whether it be the paperwork or
the workload it is all different for everyone, since everyone is unique. Being different is what
helps the nurses a lot because if someone does not know a specific language they can ask some
who does, which is why they always need to have different kinds of people in any type of work.
Doctors are even impressed with some nurses by how they are able to get the job done quickly
and efficiently, so much that they even say nurses are like sponges when it comes to knowledge,
they are supposed to remember everything that they have been taught and still keep learning.
While doctors do the same they would need help in some matters that they have not been taught
in, that is why they need help from the nurse or nurses. Some doctors do not appreciate this
however they take the nurses for granted and sometimes do not give them the credit that they
deserve and are always bringing them down.

However the doctors that do this sometimes have the mindset that the nurse is going to be
someone who takes advantage of their privilege, which is not unheard of, since there are nurses
that abuse patients in homecare or in hospitals. Thankfully though they have made it known that
it is a bad thing and have said nurses have come a long way in the past about knowing about
patient abuse. As a result there are now over 15,000 abuse prevention programs throughout the
United States. Some people still cause abuse but there are now ways to have help when they are
being abused, which is a good thing but it came too late for some people who were not able to
handle the abuse of the nurse or nurses.
There are many hardship of being a nurse and not all are cut out for it so when they do it
they have to make a commitment. That is why if people would ask a nurse if it is hard doing the
job, they would most likely answer yes because they would say the paperwork is the hardest part.
Now the other question I have heard from college students that are wanting to be a nurse, right
when they get to the end of their main studies and are wanting to go to a nursing school, they ask
is it worth being a nurse? Something being worth a lot varies for people, since they all have
different interests, some would only want the money but some could want to do it, if they only
want to be a nurse. Money is the main object people want a job for, others because they like the
job, and there are even some that do community service. For the people that work for only the
money they have a harder time to cope with the job, for example a doctor in Denver said that
you get a big patient load and a lot of paperwork. You never finish on time and you will not get
appreciated for what you did. From this sentence alone we can not tell if he just wanted the job
for the money or if at one point he wanted to do it, but doing this kind of job requires
commitment, that is why if it is not their dream job and they only do it for the money, they are

not going to like that job, and are not going to be able to work at it for a longer period of time,
regardless of the income.
Reporters also say that nurses help out a lot of people in many ways besides just simply
taking care of them. They say that when a nurse is good enough some people will refer to the
nurse as their guardian angel. Although it is not simply doing it for the income or because it is
an interest, jobs have a worth, not so much monetarily but more emotionally, thats why there are
people that say that they are only willing to work at a specific job and they work for it, from
school or taking loans, it is all about sticking to it for a lot of people. Nurses have different parts
of their job that like and do not like, the same can be said for many workers across the world.
Asking what people like or do not like about their job is a good way to find out if they genuinely
like their job or if they are only doing it because they have no other choice.
It is not only the nurses opinions that matter it is the patients, because they have even said
that nurses spend more direct contact with the patients than the doctor and that they also help
improve the health care center or hospital that they work in. patients are the ones that mostly
determine things about nurses, from how frequently they show up or to if they were helpful or if
they were not respectful about a topic. So while it is not always up to the nurses superiors, the
patients that they have helped are able to get a word in about the nurse or nurses that helped
them. So it is difficult for some people if they can say that they like their job or not, because it is
not always up to them it is someone else that would have a say about their opinion. Nurses are
always having problems with being appreciated, some of them just do paperwork and they do not
get to hear it as often or at all.
However when you are taking care of a patient most of them are grateful that the nurse
helped them in their time of need regardless of it being their job. So without being appreciated or

hearing that someone is thankful that a nurse helped them, can kind of start putting some stress
on the nurse. Nurses could start saying stuff like did I do a good job? or start second guessing
themselves, which can end up causing mistakes. These are not the only thing on a nurses mind
that are burdening them, there is even a fatigue that is caused from trying to help someone.
People have labeled it as compassion fatigue, since they are wanting to help a lot more than they
probably can, regardless of their condition. It is a common condition in at least half of the nurses
in a nursing home or hospital, or other areas. In a way being too helpful is a bad thing, because if
they are always wanting to help and then stop all of a sudden, it would be too much of a change
for the mind to handle.
When a nurse takes care of someone the question what made you want to be a nurse
will usually come up, from either the patient they are taking care of, or someone around or
related to the patient. Of course the answer for this is always going to be different for each
person, but the most common one is that they saw a nurse taking care of a family member when
they were in need, which inspires them to want to help other people too, or they feel that they
just like the profession in general. When adults or children have a nurse in their house helping
someone, the nurse is not always able to do everything like if they need to help move the patient
and make the bed at the same time they will ask someone to help them if it is too much for them
to be able to do. Some people pick up on what they learn when they are asked to help and it
makes them curious about the job and wanting to learn more about it, that is why there are some
adults or teenagers or kids that are wanting to be a nurse. Though this is one of the many reasons
that people want to be a nurse, it still does not describe a majority of why people want to be a
nurse, but there are reasons we know and some we do not.

Even though there are patients at nursing homes who are treated differently than others,
which can vary why they are being treated that way, there are nurses that stereotype patient
which is not what you are supposed to do, but when you like someone more there is going to be a
difference in treatment. This is the same for patients stereotyping nurses, but the case for nurses
is something a lot more different than for patients, it is the fact that whether or not they are male
or female because when most people say nurse they think of a female nurse, so they are always
surprised or feel uncomfortable when they have a male nurse which causes problems
everywhere. Since people are not comfortable with male nurses they sometimes ask to switch for
a female nurse to make it not as awkward but this is not always good for the male nurses it limits
them to what they are able to do. Being a different sex matters in not only this job, it will matter
in a lot of jobs,
Nurses are put in many places to do their job, it can be from taking care of someone at
home or to being in a really big hospital. Of course depending on the education one has, it is
obvious which job someone has. There are however some nurses that do not want to do the
whole nursing part so instead choose to become a supervisor. Nurses sometimes do not want to
be either, some are fine with just doing paperwork, which would seem really boring but some
like to do only that and are only wanting to do that. When beginner nurses that are just starting
out at the job, some of them have the idea that nursing is just mostly taking care of people. While
there are parts of the job where you have to help people, it is not always that, there is more to any
job than meets the eye. It is best to be prepared when starting a new job, although the manager or
supervisor may say this is all to the job, there could always be a chance to be more. This more
part is usually in bigger jobs like nursing at hospitals or retirement homes.

When some people choose the job of nursing to do and learn, knowing a general idea of
what kinds of skills, the supervisor or educator is going to teach, can give a little boost to the
knowledge of learning it. For the some people knowing CPR is a really good skill to learn
because if someone is drowning and has swallowed too much water, it will be bad if no one
knows how to do CPR and can only wait for an ambulance to arrive and help the victim.
Knowing that only the ambulance would be able to help the victim in that situation would
probably aggravate a person, it is also because of that reason some people want to be a nurse. So
that they can actually do something in that situation, or other situations, not just limiting it to
CPR. Most people always want to do something in a situation when someone else is in danger.
Aside from CPR there are plenty of different skills needed and required for nursing, these skills
can help in everyday life. Students who are in the nursing field find this part harder than most,
simply because it is overwhelming and they are not able to keep up.
There are people with jobs that they do not like, nursing is not any different. While there
are people who like their job and are good or bad at it, there are people that hate their job as a
nurse but are good at it, that is why if they can, if you like nursing then do nursing. The reason
behind this is usually working hard for it or they were born to be naturally good at it, since
depending on the type of nurse you are, differs the amount you get paid, the people who do not
like their job and are higher up in the nursing world are going to have a much harder time
dealing with the work. Hopefully when you are good at a certain job, it is one you like and not
one where you do it because it is easy, because it can always get harder at any point in the job.
The rules of the nursing world are very strict and are meant to uphold the hospitals or
nursing homes regulations. While these rules are hard on nurses and sometimes the patients, it is
a good thing the rules are there. These rules are usually about safety that is why they are so

important to maintain. Having chaos in a hospital or nursing home would lead to a lot of chaos
not just from the patients but from there being people with diseases there too. Other than safety,
what most places want is a sense of respect. Since the a doctor or a nurse is in charge of taking
care of a patient or patients, it is not going to make the job any easier if they do not like doing it.
Mutual respect is needed when someone is undergoing medical care or treatment, if being angry
at a patient might cause you to mess up more than you would want. Feelings can get in the way
of someones job, whether it is intentional or accidental. For most patients the rules of a nursing
or hospital may feel very loose but that is because they do not know all the work that has been
put behind setting those standards. While most others allow themselves to just go into the
hospital and get their daily check up or medicine, there is a lot more work being put behind
simple tasks that make it easier to do. No matter how relaxed one hospital may look to one
person, on the inside where they can not see, is someone working very hard to keep the image up
of the hospital. Regardless of how some people may act they may work hard while it looks like
they do not do much in their job.
People can assume that the ones that work hard but do not show it, would probably be
called wearing a mask. These kinds of people are the kind that want to look strong in front of
their patients, so that the patients do not feel sad or depressed all the time, they help the patients
get their mood or happiness back. These nurses that are able to help a patient mentally are the
that are able to get a lot of good credit from patients, and if the doctors notice this they will
sometimes give them the credit that they deserve, or want. Nurses are able to do a lot more, if
they are able to get some praise for what they have done, no matter how little. Praising the nurses
can affect how much work they are willing to do, it would be the same in any job, if you make
someone angry while they are working, they are going to be less willing to work as hard. Even

though someone may get angry on the job and may not want to do a part of it, they still have the
obligation to do that job, since they are the ones who were willing to apply for it.
Being a nurse is not as easy if you do not have any motivation. Even though there are
some people who are able to do it thanks to the help of others, it is very different if you are only
doing it for yourself. Since these type of people who have to rely on others, one day might have
to do the job without that other person or people. Meanwhile the people who are only doing the
job for themselves are going to have an easier time doing it alone, because they are already
alone. Generally most people want to be around someone so the people that are alone are usually
wanting someone to support or motivate them, there are those cases when the person just wants
to be alone. Having someone to help you through hard times or motivate you are very helpful, it
can make you keep working and doing what you want to do. Most people have a way to deal
with this, it can be either their children or parents or even spouses. So being alone is never a
good thing even when you have a job, it is a good way to get motivation for your job.
