Classifying Severity of Behaviour


With this list you can begin developing a Classroom Behaviour
Management System.
Start by putting up a table:

In the space underneath, take the answers from question 4, and get students to
classify each one. Explain that each strike is a level of severity, the more strikes
the more severe. So if you do a 4 strike behaviour you go straight to the fourth
step.

Organising Steps for Discipline System


Once you and the class are in agreeance, start organising the steps:
1. Begin this process by organising how many warnings there should be,
ensure there are no more than 2-3. Place these down as the first steps.
2. Then organise the in-class consequences. This could mean Moving desk,
writing lines, staying back etc. Ensure that the last of these steps do not
count more than four in total, including warnings.
3. Then put the school steps at the end. (This may include seeing discipline
officer, principal, focus room etc.)
4. The write up these steps along with the strike table and put it up in the
classroom.
