Traveled to Pacasmayo, Peru for 6 weeks to help with medical care in the Chepn hospital,
which provided a free health care clinic to the community of Pacasmayo. Ventured out in
the Chepn community to vaccinate young children and older persons with the flu shot
and required pediatric vaccinations.
Participated in weekly activities with children in the local community to provide
lessons about proper hygiene and nutrition for the body by creating fun games to
help the children remember.
Practiced Spanish with hospital staff and patients. Participated in a Spanish class to
better understand the language and culture of Peruvians.
