Teacher Final Summary with Strategies for Continued Growth

Congratulations on your learning this semester. You have achieved basic skills in patient safety, using proper body mechanics when moving a patient
, giving a bed bath, and performing a set of vital signs and systems assessment. You will use all these skills in your next clinical setting and will be
glad that you feel confident in these areas before you start in January. Your strategy to learn the CNO standards allows you to pace your learning over
a period of time. Continue to visit this site often, as this will help you learn to navigate the site with ease and confidence. In order to maintain your
practical skills, continue to practice with family and friends or attend the open access labs. This will help you consolidate your learning so far.
Reviewing, reflecting and documenting on what you have done is also a good strategy for learning and improving your confidence in these areas.
Thank you for your contributions to group case studies and maintaining a quality learning environment by being well prepared before each lab and
meeting all your fellow students. Continue to develop your public speaking skills by maintaining your strategy to meet as many people as you can and
participating in class discussions. Continue to work on your documentation and communication skills by understanding what are significant/abnormal
findings, understanding subjective and objective findings, and using SBAR to communicate with members of the health care team. As you learn more
about developing care plans and case studies, look for specific health teaching strategies that are related to your patient's conditions.
