The flow of your mind-map and how this has helped you understand how the brain

works
I separated my mind map into conscious and unconscious functions. This helped
me to understand which systems automatically process information, how that
information is communicated in order to have conscious thought and actions.
One creative way you could teach children how they could better understand how
their brain learns.
Introduce the major parts of the brain and functions. Talk about the communications
between parts of the brain. Make models of neurons. Do sensory activities
emphasizing which parts of the brain they are using while doing each activity. Play
games or conduct a scientific study about memory.
