Methodology
On behalf of Senate Leadership Fund, Public Opinion Strategies conducted a statewide survey of 500
likely Republican primary voters in Nevada. The survey was conducted March 28-30, 2016, and has a
margin of error of +4.38%. Three -hundred seventy-five (375) interviews were completed with landline
respondents and 125 interviews were completed with cell phone respondents.
Key Findings
1.
Joe Heck has a strong image while Sharron Angles image is upside down.
Among Republican primary voters, Joe Hecks has 92% name ID, with 66% having a favorable
opinion of him, and just 8% with an unfavorable opinion.
Sharron Angles name ID is a similar 91%, but only 21% of GOP primary voters have a favorable
opinion of her, compared to 47% with an unfavorable opinion. This is one of the worst images we
have ever seen in a primary.
Among Angles former base of voters favorable to the Tea Party, Hecks image is 71% fav/
7% unfav, while Angles is 27% fav/44% unfav.
