Lesson Plan: (MKT- 201 Advertising


Topic: Advertising Ethics )

Lesson outcomes: This session examines the ethical issues related to the practice of advertising and marketing
communications.
The outcomes from this session are: 1.Students will develop a critical insight of ethical issues in advertising
and how it impacts our society, industry and individuals.
2. They can create an effective and efficient marketing communication at their best, which can
simultaneously provide benefits to the client, the agency, the consumer and the society as a whole.

These outcomes are measurable by identifying the factors and solutions in the case/scenario that will be given
to them.
This course is designed for the second year students who are taking Marketing as major.
Before this lesson - Evaluating the Social and Economic aspects of advertising
After this lesson- Understanding the Media
This lesson is located on Week- 3 in the course outline.
Backup plan- Carry out the presentations and handout in USB drive and send the presentations and all the class
materials in Google drive. In case of emergency or tech. failure, call# 0 from the classroom for expert support.
Possible accommodations: Though my class has no student with special need, But still I will deliver the video
with captions.
Evaluations will be based on informal assessment, like; students participation, asking questions, bring new
dimensions on discussion etc. and discussions on case scenario. Teacher will apply her judgement on
evaluations. No grade will be given for assessment in this lesson.
