COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT

There are thousands of similar service providers around the globe and
earning revenue of multimillion dollars but almost none in Bangladesh. In
Bangladesh, there are some Photography groups or individuals doing
enhancing or retouching of their own captured photos.
PhotoParlor, in its initial searching in internet about the rate and
volume of work found:

6.

Rate per photo for retouching starts from USD 0.20 up to

USD 5.00 depending on photo quality which is equivalent
to BDT 16.00 to BDT 400.00
Millions of individuals or firms are availing the service from
thousands of service providers.
Estimating market share in any category is very difficult in
this industry because service providers are not monitored
or managed by any structural governing body or
organization.

COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

Competitive advantage in business covers very favorable terms from

suppliers, shippers, or labor, or a firm has more experienced, knowledgeable
and loyal employees, has an unique patent, has better access to finance
through a special network, a brand name image, or asymmetry in resources,
information, knowledge and power, or a first mover, etc.
As PhotoParloris going to be a new one in this area, will have less
competitive advantage rather than:

First mover in this country (Bangladesh)

Knowledgeable employees
Cheap service rate in global contrast
